| Queen of the World! |
It wasn't all greasy food and family visiting. We did have access to a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta so we did a little exploring. Visiting New Waterford and Glace Bay as well as the Northside, Alaina got to take a few pictures and dangle herself on the edge of many a cliff.
I also did manage to hang out with Nathan, which was awesome. Did I mention before that he's the greatest? Well, he's the greatest. The GREATEST.

He's started this new thing where he'll ask you a question and then provide you with a pre-selected answer. Pretty awesome. Man, I miss him so much. I need to go home more often.

Not only was the trip all kinds of fantastic, we had my brother Gary as well as Ryan MacLeod as de facto DJ's on our trip home. Ryan's iPod was filled with all kinds of crazy music including BSB and Bonnie Tyler. Sing-a-longs were had and enjoyed.
I didn't pick up much in Cape Breton, in fact, other than food, I didn't spend any money really. We did attend American Reunion. American Reunion is what I like to consider the 4th American Pie movie although there are probably something close to about 10 in total? I don't know. The others are a mess to me.
I really enjoyed it, honestly. I know it's getting shit on by critics but I couldn't care less. I was pre-disposed to like this movie anyway seeing as it promised to bring about a feeling of nostalgia from fans of the original. The ending was pretty much perfect and while it had a weaker beginning, it filled out nicely and finished strong.
If you weren't aware, I started a book blog here. I've been reading like a crazy person so far this year and all of my reviews are collected there for anyone's interest (if you're not on Goodreads - and really, if you're a reader and you're not on Goodreads, you're missing out).
