Busy Week!

Probably the busiest week I've had in a while.

Sunday, I attended the Word On The Street festival in downtown Halifax. I didn't really know a lot of the authors (next to none), but I had a great time regardless. Attended a few readings and panels and had lunch at a local pub, The Old Triangle.

Monday, I attended a concert from Flogging Molly. Never really listened to them before but enjoyed the hell out of myself. They're pretty much an Irish inspired punk-rock band. The crowd was a little crazy (but what did I expect from a show like that) so I pretty much kept my distance and hung out at the very back of the room.

The rest of the week was pretty much filled with work and helping my extended family with a few favors. Oh, and on Thursday, I bought tickets to go see Kevin Smith! I've been such a massive fan for so long that I'm still kind of shocked that he's coming here. I guess the Twitter campaign from myself and a few friends paid off (that's what I tell myself anyway).

Last night, I attended a concert that combined Canadian pop-superstar Hawksley Workman, and the Nova Scotia Symphony Orchestra. I had previously seen Hawksley before and was less than impressed but last night's performance blew me away.

I also managed to finish a book, "The Leftovers" by Tom Perrotta which I enjoyed for the most part. Not bad if I don't say so myself. Feelin' pretty accomplished.
